What instruments or trading vehicles is Peacock Trading licensed to trade?
- Peacock Trading is licensed to trade futures and options on futures including, but not limited to: currencies, grains, livestock, bonds, and notes. Any actively traded futures or futures options in the world.

What is your minimum account size?
- There is a $5,000 minimum account size for all online trading accounts. There is no minimum account size for broker-assisted or self-directed accounts. The initial margin requirement is required, however, for the futures or commodity you wish to trade.

Who is your clearing firm? Are my funds secure?
- Our accounts are cleared through Vision Financial Markets LLC in New York. Here's a few comforting reasons for customers to maintain their funds with Vision:
- Strong Capitalization - As of November 30, 2006, Vision maintained minimum adjusted net capital, comfortably in excess of the amount required under CFTC regulations. This demonstrates Vision's commitment to capitalization well in excess of regulatory requirements.
- Substantial Investment - Vision's Chairman and President have personally invested over $10,000,000 in Vision for its regulatory capitalization..
- Excess Segregation on the Futures Side - As of November 30, 2006, Vision as an FCM and Commodity Pool Operator controls customer segregated funds of approximately $425,000,000. For added customer protection, Vision maintains over $18,000,000 of regulatory capital in excess of its segregation requirements.

Can I transfer an existing account?
- Absolutely! Simply fill out the account transfer forms found in the application booklet on page 21 (FORM 10) and return it along with your new account application.

What account types do you accept?
- Currently we accept IRAs, 401Ks, Keoghs, Retirement, Individual, Joint, Partnership, Online, Corporate, Custodial, Managed, Foreign, and Hedge accounts. If you're looking for a specific account type that is not listed here, please contact our office to see if it is available.

How are commissions charged?
- Commission rates are charged on a per round turn basis. On futures orders you are charged 50% upon initiation of the trade and 50% upon exit. Commissions on options orders are charged 100% upfront, or upon entry.

What steps are necessary to open an account?
- We currently have 3 ways you can complete your account paperwork:
- You can fill out our web-based pdf form where you simply print out the forms and fill in the information or type the information directly into the form. Then mail it into our office.
You can fill out our electronic form and submit it directly online. If you would like to request this form, please click here and we'll email you the link, or contact our office at 1-877-PEACOCK and request the link.
You can request a new account application be sent out to you via Priority Mail with an overnight return envelope by emailing us or calling us at 1-877-PEACOCK.

What if I need additional trading assistance? Can you help me?
- Absolutely. We offer a wide variety of account types to assist any type of trader. For the inexperienced trader, we would setup a full-service or broker-assisted trading account.

What if I want to begin trading today? Is it possible?
- If your new account paperwork is received early in the day, it is possible. However, you must wire funds into your account to begin trading. Generally new account applications are issued account numbers the following day of receipt of completed paperwork, assuming the paperwork is correct and complete.

When and how will I receive my account statements?
- You will receive an account statement each time any activity occurs on your account and at the end of each month. By default, account statements are sent out via snail mail. You can setup to receive your statements via email or via snail mail, whichever is most convenient for you.
